Ann-Marie
Schell recently moved to Johnson City, TN to care for her elderly parents and
grandfather, ranging from age 75 to 100.
She still calls South Carolina home, though, where nearly fifteen years
of her life were spent as a single mother to her now 25 year old son, and 24
year old daughter. Ann-Marie is
also fondly known as Nana to her sonŐs 21Ú2 year old daughter. After her 10 year marriage ended in
1989, Ann-Marie devoted herself to the Lord and joined in the work of Singles
Ministry. She began as a
fellowship leader, and served as Lake Murray BaptistŐs Singles
Director/Coordinator for 5 years.
In 2003 and 2004 she served as the Lexington County Baptist
AssociationŐs Singles Team Leader, but stepped down from both positions in 2005
with the intention of attending New OrleansŐ Theological Seminary in the
fall. After the hurricane, and her
parentŐs illness, Ann-Marie is now looking at on-line seminaries to obtain her
degree. She is using her nursing
and managerial experience as a Medical Office Consultant to subsidize her
income while she cares for her family.
Ann-Marie has joined University Parkway Baptist in Johnson City, and is
consulting with their Singles Leadership while acting as an Interim Fellowship
Leader.
